That's all for now, but I hope to update this list in the near future. The Great Spirit - Native American Army Mod This mod adds historical accuracy through new units and uniforms, as well as more factions elevated to major status.
It is also compatible with most major mods (it makes a mean combination with Regalia of Nations). This mod adds in many new units, including Conquistadors, Swiss Pikemen, Shotgunners, and Marines. But there is definitely a large increase in performance when using it.Īnother favorite of mine. It also doesn't play nicely with other reskin mods all the time. In terms of file size this is the largest mod for Empire: Total War, weighing in at a whopping 750MB. This mod basically makes your game run many times faster with few noticeable visual side effects. This mod seems to be focused on improving the balance and overall feel of the game without changing content too much. It also allows all nations except Louisiana, New Spain, and the Thirteen Colonies to have new flags when they rebel. It compiles many smaller visual mods, like the Battlefield Smoke and Blood Mod, as well as new uniforms and flags. This mod is the ultimate visual overhaul for Empire: Total War.
The Commander Edition allows you to play with greatly increased unit sizes.
The latest in a long series of DarthMods, this iteration focuses on improving gameplay mechanics.
This mod adds quite a bit content-wise, like an improved AOR system and unique rosters for more factions such as Denmark and the Italian States. If anyone who has played it has anything to say about it, I'll add their comments. I haven't played it so I can't really say anything definitive. This mod seems to add a bit in all directions: gameplay, graphics, content, etc. This adds in elite new units with high-quality skins in a format reminiscent of the official DLC. I'm listing this as a major mod because the quality of the new units added by this mod is so high. The quality of the skins look good, but it seems that the mod is only for 1.0, so if you've patched your game, it may not work. This yet-to-be released mod adds a China faction to the game. They should make your game prettier, faster, and have far more content and are enough to turn an already good game great. I want CA to keep the orginal components of gameplay like the populace happiness levels, the population, and other things that they may have taken out because of their streamlining. This is a collection of some of the best mods for Empire: Total War. Updated verson of Empire with better graphics and better AI. With wars in America, Europe, Asia and Africa, everyone is happy!
I'm thinking of a game with a full campaign for each continent that centers around certain events (like the ACW) and then a grand campaign with the whole world. I do think that a standalone ACW Total War would be a bit lacking in content, that's why I think it would be perfect as a full campaign within a greater game that includes other events in Europe (Napoleonic Wars, Crimean War, Russo-Turkish Wars, Wars of German Unification) and around the world. I'm not sure what you mean by "Napoleon would be better for it." I'm talking about an Empire 2 which would combine the massive scope of Empire with the vast improvements of Napoleon. Lee won Gettysburg? What if Grant failed to capture Vicksburg? The possibilites are nearly endless! And with Total War's ability to remake history it would be even better! What if Stonewall Jackson hadn't died at Chancellorsville? What if Robert E. Just the amount of death you could unleash would be stunning. In the ACW there were 800 men PER REGIMENT!!! The cinematic shots you could get would be stunning. Asside from that, think about how damn COOL it would be. No offence to Empire but I think that Napoleon would be better for it but I would like it as a complete standalone game. Originally posted by 63e Iraq Attack:Hey guys, why not both? I'd love to see both as full campaigns of an Empire Total War 2.ĭude I don't want it to be a part of Empire. The title brings Total War-style tactics (the lead on this game did make several mods for Total War games) to the well-known battlefields of Antietam and Gettysburg, as well as battles with less coverage in games, such as Gaines’ Mill and Chickamauga.
